Message from Jack Spruill and Press Release regarding the Oyster Reef Project

Print PDF

Good morning

I want you to have a personal copy of this press release from PenderWatch & Conservancy.

This is a huge project for our all-volunteer organization.  Since the reefs we built in 2008 have been a total success, we are confident that these 2011 reefs will also make a very effective contribution to taking care of our coastal habitat.

We are especially proud of the grant award from West Marine that CCA NC and PenderWatch received yesterday to support this reef building.  Please see the specifics below.  Over the years many people and businesses have contributed their time, services, materials and expertise in support of our shell recycling, shell bagging, permit application and reef building.  I consider this grant to be all about recognizing their contribution and helping us all to do more.

Jack Spruill
